Aloo Cheela Recipe in 6 Easy Steps for a Quick & Delicious Breakfast

Ingredients

2 tbsp grated Carrot, 3 peeled and grated Potatoes, 2 tbsp finely chopped Coriander, 2 finely chopped Chillies, 1 tsp Ginger-garlic paste, Oil, 2 tbsp Besan (gram flour), 1 tsp Cumin, ¾ tsp Salt, 2 tbsp Corn flour, 2 tbsp Rice flour, ½ tsp Pepper powder.

Prepare the potatoes

Peel and grate the potatoes. Soak the grated potatoes in water for 5-10 minutes to remove excess starch. Squeeze out the water completely and add the grated potatoes to a large mixing bowl.

Add vegetables & spices

Add grated carrots, chopped coriander leaves, ginger-garlic paste and finely chopped green chillies. Add cumin seeds and salt, then mix everything together.

Add flour

Add gram flour, rice flour and corn flour and black pepper powder. Mix everything to form a thick mixture. Make sure not to overdo the water.

Make the chilla

Heat a non-stick pan or tawa on low flame and lightly apply oil on it. Take a small portion of the mixture, roll it into a ball and shape it into a thin round shape with your hands.

Cook the chilla

Place the flattened chilla on a hot tawa and cook on low flame till the edges turn golden brown. Flip it carefully and cook till the other side is crispy and golden.

Repeat and serve

Repeat this process with the remaining batter, add oil to the pan as needed. Serve the hot and crispy Aloo Cheela with your favourite chutney, ketchup or curd.
