1. Prepare the Dough
Mix 1 cup of skim milk powder, 1 tablespoon of whole wheat flour, 1/4 teaspoon of baking soda, and 2 tablespoons of low-fat yoghurt in a bowl. Stir well until it forms a soft, sticky dough.
2. Form the Balls
Grease your hands lightly with ghee. Divide the dough into small portions and roll each portion into smooth, round balls.
3. Make the Sugar Syrup
Combine 1 cup of water, 1/4 cup of honey, and 1/2 teaspoon of cardamom powder in a pan. Heat the mixture until the honey fully dissolves. For a festive touch, you can add a few saffron strands.
4. Cook the Gulab Jamun
Fry the dough balls on low heat until they turn golden brown, making sure to turn them frequently for even cooking. After frying, air-fry them for an additional 10 minutes.
5. Soak and Serve
Mix the fried balls with the Sugar syrup and let them soak for 30 minutes. Serve warm or chilled for a delicious Flavours.
